I have been accused on social media of being so filled with hate [for Trump] that I am blind, and that’s why I oppose him so fiercely. Well, I confess that I do hate Trump with a passion and for a multitude of reasons – the main one being all the harm he is doing to our country for his own aggrandizement. But it is not the hate that makes me think that he should never again be president -- it is thoughtful observation of the things he has done in the past and what he plans to do in the future that guides me.

It is instructive to know what people that have worked for him think. Here is a list of former high government officials, appointed by him, who now think that he is unfit to be president:

Secretary of Defense General James Mattis
[another] Secretary of Defense Mark Esper
Chief of Staff General John Kelly
[another] Chief of Staff Mark Mulaney
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley

Plus many others of lower rank from his own administration. Some have made statements like former Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats who said that Trump “has no moral compass” and he “must be beholden to Russia.”

Here are some other former military big shots who oppose trump: Admiral William McRaven, General John Allen and General James McChrystal. That’s a lot of generals.

There are many, many more reasons to oppose him besides hate, but I will close with one hinted at by Coats when he mentioned Russia. A Trump presidency will endanger and probably end NATO, the alliance which has helped keep us and most of Europe safe from Russian aggression for about 78 years. The man is unfit.
